Future of Education online conference 4-8th June 2007

June 1st, 2007 · No Comments
FOE2007 · Learning · Technology

This is the second online conference organised by the Learning Technologies Centre at the University of Manitoba.

The aim of this conference is to explore the trends impacting on education - in schools, colleges and universities, and corporate training.

Identifying what these trends are and how they will shape the future of education will be what the main discussions are trying to thrash out.

Live presentations by a number of “leading thinkers and visionaries” will look at such topics as knowledge and authority, technology and art, self-organised learning systems, and complexity science. There will also be a series of presentations on how various experts perceive how our education will look in the future.

There are also a number of discussion forums taking place in the Moodle conference site.

This is a truly global confrence with delegates from Burkina Faso, Sudan, Kenya, New Zealand, Columbia, Hondurus, Puerto Rico, Brazil, Uruguay, Japan, as well as Europe and North America. Interestingly, though, no delegates so far from India, China or Russia. Why is that?
