Central DesktopI’ve chosen Central Desktop to manage our Audio Supported Enhanced Learning Project. Like Backpack, CD is a web-based organisational and team collaboration tool, but is a lot more sophisticated and has many more features. It allows you to create online workspaces to share documents and files, manage task lists and milestones, and engage in group discussions. Each workspace has a shared calendar so everyone in the team can see when the next meeting or deadline is. All documents for the project are stored in the workspace and version control ensures each team member has access to the latest version. CD allows teams to have online discussions, and to communicate through Skype and IM.

I’m not the only one who thinks this is an excellent collaboration tool. Barack Obama has been using CD to manage his Presidential campaign.
